About Teleos Training

Teleos Training has been delivering high quality customised training and personal development since 2001. We are specialists in Governance for Third Sector and Charities and Safeguarding and accredited Safer Recruitment training for Early Years Settings and Schools. We offer professional coaching for Directors and Boards of voluntary organizations and regularly organise open access training for anyone involved in charities or voluntary groups, please contact us for latest updates.

We also offer Coaching and a programme of personal workshops to help you in your career.

Other recent training has included Conflict Resolution for Year 9 pupils at Buxton School and a popular open access course Dealing with Difficult People through Waltham Forest Voluntary Action.

Phil Miller

phil B and W compPhil heads up the organisational training side of Teleos using his wide experience as a professional trainer and board member.

Born in Canada, Phil pursued a teaching career before joining Springboard Housing in the 1970s. As Director of Personnel until 2000, he played a key role in Springboard’s development as a major housing-plus-care provider in London and Essex and was responsible for the development of a people-led strategy and the implementation of new policies for over 1000 staff. Since 2001 with Teleos Training Phil has worked with a wide range of local authorities and not-for-profit groups, specialising in trustee development and governance issues.

Phil has been an active board member and Director for several local and regional charities and is currently chair of the Audit & Risk committee at MCCH, a large regional social care provider. A member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, Phil holds an MSc in Human Resource Development and is registered with the Institute for Learning.

Barbara Miller

me bw 4Barbara  runs the Coaching and Business Start Up side of Teleos Training.

She brings a creative lively approach to Business Coaching and Personal Development and is skilled at drawing out what really motivates people, and helping them to work out goals and direction.  Her particular passion is for helping solopreneurs and new business owners get their ideas of the ground and she believes strongly that work should be enjoyable as well as profitable!

Barbara graduated from Lancaster University and began her career teaching maths, first in school and then in adult education but quickly moved into using her experience to train other professionals, including school support staff, tutors, assessors and verifiers. She retrained as a professional coach, graduating from the Coaching Academy in 2013 with a Distinction in Personal Performance Coaching and has since developed a strong interest in Coaching Business start ups describing herself as a Business Companion or sometimes a Business Midwife!
