Confidentiality

The short version:

At Teleos we take confidentiality seriously. We won’t give your contact details to anyone else without your permission.  We won’t gossip your business. We won’t disclose what we learn about you or your organisation in the course of business to anyone else.

The longer version:

Employees and officers of Teleos Training will respect the confidentiality of information obtained in the course of professional work, whether or not that information is expressly described as confidential. We will

  • Comply with national and legal confidentiality requirements (statutory or otherwise) and any commercial confidentiality safeguards imposed by our employers, contract partners , organisations or clients.
  • Obtain consent from their organisations, employers or clients prior to the use of, or disclosure of, information for any purpose other than that for which it was intended.
  • Not use information acquired in the course of professional work for personal advantage or for the advantage of a third party.
  • Not disclose or use information obtained during a previous employment or commission in any way that could be detrimental.

Data Protection

Data Protection Act 1998 – Each individual member of Teleos has a legal responsibility to comply with this Act. The Act contains 8 principles covering the collection, processing, amount, accuracy, time span and security of data as well as the rights of the data subject. To meet these principles in our work we will ensure that:

  • personal information given is checked for accuracy and doubtful information is queried.
  • information is processed promptly and in confidence and stored appropriately.
  • photocopies of data is not stored in more than one file unless absolutely essential.
  • personal information is not given over the telephone without written consent or authorisation.
  • access to client or partner details is limited to the officers of the company.
  • any individual or client may request further information about the data held by written application to the Company Secretary.
  • e mails containing personal data are deleted once the information has been processed
  • records and data are kept up to date and information is kept no longer than necessary for operational or legal purposes
